Possession

*In this case I'm using possession as in something owned, rather than the ghost meaning*
Kenji-kun hasn't always been taking care of Crazy Sinestra, not the way he is now. He actually used to be a regular guy, until a certain smug bastard, Nashi, decided to use Kenji as a guinea pig for an immortality serum he was developing. As the serum was largely successful, Nashi found he couldn't just 'dispose' of Kenji like all his other lab rats, so instead he branded Kenji with his signature mark and turned him into his servant through a forced Contract. *insert Kyubey face here lol*
This contract forced Kenji to become a servant, bodyguard and personal assassin for that smug bastard as long as he lived (which thanks to the serum is now for all intents and purposes FOREVER), which Kenji hated, and during his time serving Nashi looked for every way imaginable to die permanently. He never found it, but he learned how to better carry out assassination missions.lol
However, luckily(?) for Kenji, while the serum worked on him okay, it didn't work on Nashi, who is purely a spiritual parasite residing in a host body and feeding off of its spirit. So while the body and soul, Sinestra, lived on when the serum was injected into him, Nashi slowly wasted away and was absorbed into Sinestra's being - leading to Kenji being forced to babysit Crazy sinestra.

Anyways... I felt like I hadn't been drawing Kenji in enough serious situations lately, and wanted to detail the signature carved into his back, which sort of is the seal of ownership in the contract.
but I have no idea what his arms are doing... OTL I was imagining him holding something like a staff whenever I saw him with his scar showing like this, but after several attempts of trying to draw this pose on several different occasions, I decided to just wing it. So please ignore that and just admire the pretty crosshatching, 'kay?
